Incentive Policy

Union County’s Economic Development Incentive Policy for Business Growth and Development

Communities in Union County, Ohio have taken a bold step to develop a strategy to attract and retain business growth and development. Three school districts (Fairbanks, Marysville, and North Union), two municipalities (Marysville and Richwood), and the county commissioners have all agreed to the Union County Economic Development Incentive Policy (EDIP). The EDIP provides the blueprint on how our community is to utilize tax incentives to stimulate private investment, job creation, and job retention. Specifically, it provides a professional, business like approach to incentives which allows enterprises to understand the incentives up front so that they can plan for investments early in the process of expansion. We encourage you to take a look on how our taxing authorities came together on a sensitive issue in an unprecedented fashion.
